Coast redwood can be found in most PNW towns and cities. They do well in mild climate of the coastal PNW and very old, tall redwoods are a common site particularly in older neighborhoods.
Coast redwood like it so much here that there are a few documented instances of their naturalizing.
Technically speaking, coast redwoods do grow in the PNW, at least in the very corner of it. The northernmost end of coast redwood's range ekes just inside the border into far southwestern Oregon into Curry County.
Their unique branch shape - distinguished by a curving up right near the end - makes them particularly distinguishable.
